Installing WordPress from scratch

I consider myself pretty accomplished at WordPress. After all, I've created hundreds of sites for myself and my clients.

I've gotten some good PR about my WordPress security chops.

Plus, I've created two best-selling video training courses on WordPress. I've sold thousands of them.

There's a good chance you're getting this email because you bought one of those tutorials.

But I always hated installing WordPress from scratch. Instead, I installed it using my webhost's installer script (usually Fantastico or Simple Scripts, but there are others).

Recently, I got a bug up my butt to begin using WAMP on my PC for rapid WordPress site development.

And after going through a nightmarish install of a program that was supposed to make installing and using WAMP super-easy, I got it working and want to show it off a bit :)

(By the way, I just simply installed WAMP; it was easy, worked right "out of the box.")

Yesterday, I shot a video where I used WAMP to install WordPress from scratch.

Yes, that means uploading WordPress core files, setting up a MySQL database, and getting WP installed.

If you want to see how it's done--and how EASY it is--then head on over here:

Give it some love! I'd appreciate a share, a like, whatever you can muster!

Thanks and hope this helps you.

Let me know if there's anything you want to learn and I'll do my best to help!
