Hi
I have an idea and I want to see if you want to watch as
it progresses.
Here's the idea:
I build a site whose sole goal is to earn $3 a day (net). I build the site in a day
and then add content and run ads to it.
That's it.
I spend $1 day in ads. $10 on a domain. Use current web hosting (but
factor in $5 a month for hosting to make it realistic to you, an actual person who may want to do this).
Optionally, add in list building (where the real power is of any business) at Mail Chimp (which is zero dollars up to a pretty big limit) and you're gold.
If, of course, this works :)
Now, I imagine it will take some time to build up to $3 a day, and some days may be less (most, at the outset), and some days will
be more. But the goal is an average of $3/day.
So, do the math:
3x365=1,095
Subtract costs:
10 (domain) + 60 (hosting) = 70
1095-70 = 1,025
That's per year folks. For seventy dollars and some time.
Scale that to one website a week and you're making 50k. Double your daily take and you're making six figures a year.
Could you quit your day
job?
Not bad for a one-time setup and a week's
worth of adding content you probably already have...or can easily acquire.
This will require a modification of how I generally build websites:
- Build it -- check
- Drive traffic -- not just through SEO but through ads
- Make an offer -- I may not do this
- Build list -- this will be much harder without the offer above
- Engage visitors and subscribers -- I won't have time to do this
- Monetize the site -- I will use affiliate offers and advertising revenue
Of course, I may have to adjust a few
things along the way to make that net 3 bucks a day goal...but the bigger idea is to scale this out to one site a week for 52 weeks.
Then the even bigger idea is to
add all this content (basically the how-to and the case studies) to a site I built years ago and never did anything with - "Blog Like Buffett."
If you know anything about Warren Buffett, you know exactly what my plans are: Acquire assets, build them up, and hold them for years.
IF one could build 50 sites a year for 10 years, and each nets 3 bucks a day...do the math.
