It's hard to believe the year is almost over. Time sure does fly. A lot of stuff has happened this year: Big things, small things, and everything in between. Good stuff and bad stuff.

I'll give you the highlights (lowlights?) of my year and end with something I think could help you a lot if you're into self-publishing. And if
you're not, just read on.

My year? A mixed bag. My mom passed away. That was rough. But a little over a year ago, I had my fourth child. He's nearly 15 months old now and "toddling" around. It's fun to watch him grow and learn.
My aunt is now following the same path as my mom. She's in a rest home now and we're getting ready to sell the house I grew up in.
But whomever buys that property will get to start their own family there, perhaps. And while it won't be as awesome as it was when I was growing up (there weren't many others around us when I was a kid and now the property is surrounded by houses), it's still a great place to live.
Yin and yang. Balance. Alignment. That's what I'm striving for now.
This time last year, I had completed my third Kindle book and was in the midst of writing my
fourth (and last) in the blogging series. (I have to get back on that.)
A couple things helped me pump out 4 books in 4 months:
- I had a roadmap.
- I had passion and energy for writing them and for teaching the subject
matter.
- I had time.
- I got great feedback for the work I did.
- I had discipline.
Why haven't I finished? I lost a few of the things above. Mostly, caring for my mom in her last months on this rock took a lot of energy and time. Honestly, I'm still reeling a bit.
A day doesn't go by when I don't think of her in some way.
It's rough. But I will persevere!

Goals through this year and into 2016
I'm going to put a lot of time and energy into building how-to courses on Udemy and repurposing that content to more Kindle books. I want to
increase my online earnings through these two media, all the while building my subscriber list and audience.
How am I going to do that? I'll be using this course to help me build my Udemy courses:
Yes, I'll be using a Udemy course to guide me in making my own Udemy courses. Seems weird. But wise.

Now, tell me: How has your year gone? Did you set some really big goal(s)? Did you have success? What stymied you?
Remember, I want to help you - so let me know and maybe I can help you get over some stumbling blocks.
What do you say?
