Two deadly words - "just checking"

Published: Wed, 09/07/16

Guilty. I often "just check" my email or social media (twitter and Facebook).

Turns out, "just checking" can kill your productivity.

Because of this thing called "attention residue." Weird, huh?

Read more about it here - it's by one of my favorites, Cal Newport.

Bottom line: Focused attention rules. "Just checking" your email (or whatever, it doesn't matter) ruins your focus on the task you're returning to.

Until next time,
