Anyway, Liam and I took my wife and youngest to the airport last night. We won't see them again until next month. 

Well, except for Skype...and the daily calls.

Technology is a godsend, for sure. I can't even imagine living apart from most of my family without a way to connect.

Speaking of which, ALL of Liam's textbooks are on his school-supplied (and taxpayer-funded) Chromebook. Amazing.

I remember taking home what seemed to be 20 pounds worth of books, notepads, and other junk...all without a backpack. 

I was telling Liam I didn't own a backpack until I was 20. And I had to walk uphill both ways to school in snowstorms AND the temp was 115 degrees!

Windy, too :)
