Have you heard the one about the jerk, the jail, and the email that wasn't opened?

Sheesh. Talk about irony.

My email a couple days ago about getting your emails opened...got the lowest open rate I've ever had.

I mean, EVER.

Know why? F@%& Google, that's why. More specifically, Gmail.

See, this one wound up in people's gmail "promotions" folder, not their primary inbox.

So that another element we all need to add to our list of "how to get people to open your emails" --

Make sure they know your emails exist.

After all, they can't open an email that they don't know about.

And many folks never go to their promotions tab in gmail.

So there's that.

A question I'll ponder in another email some day is how to keep your emails out of gmail's promotions tab.

For now, suffice it to say that I believe there was one specific word in that email that sent it to gmail's version of jail.

Re-read it. I think you'll find it interesting.

Anyhoo,
Emailcarte is still available. But only until tomorrow.

Thanks for reading. Make it a great day!

Bill

PS -- If you want Emailcarte, don't wait. You'll forget. Get it today. Or tomorrow. But NOT on Wednesday. It will be too late.
PPS--if you want those codes, reply.
I'll send 'em to you. HINT: Those codes are why the email in question went to gmail jail, I'm guessing.
PPPS--sorry about the subject line. I was being silly. There is no joke.
