Cultural differences, hippy oils, and javascript and SQL, O MI!

Published: Mon, 03/27/17

You know, there's a ton of different ways to do business.

You could create your own products. Or sell affiliate products.

Maybe you have a physical product you could sell on Shopify.

Or you could go big time (bigly?) and sell to the government.

Or go BIGGER (YUGE?) by selling to foreign governments.

Israel, for one. If you're going to sell to prospects you aren't inherently familiar with, you best learn their customs, culture, societal norms, and business etiquette.

Another business you can easily start is real estate. Start by investing a small sum of cash with a real estate investor. It's relatively easy to earn double-digit returns on investment. But, of course, beware. Lots of scams out there full of shady characters who want to separate you from your money. Get smart now about real estate.

Penny stocks can make you rich. Or broke in a heartbeat. As with everything else in the business world, knowledge is essential. Patience is a virtue. And a solid constitution is vital (you can't stay awake at night worrying about it).

Speaking of worrying yourself sick...if you're a hippy hipster type who lays in a bed of granola, you may want to read this book about essential oils. I hear they can cure cancer, make you sing like a robin, and jump higher than Mike.

Inflammation is truly a silent killer. What you eat can really make a difference in how your body deals with it. It's really a great idea to reduce inflammation. Doing so will really help you live a longer and happier life.

But you won't live long at all if the gubmint goes all tyrannical saurus rex on ya - so get this 11-book bundle on how to beat back Uncle Sammy. I mean, in the long run, we're all dead.

You know I'm a blogger at heart, but man, sometimes it takes a heroic effort just to publish a 100-word post...this book has me foaming at the mouth about "low content publishing." Sounds like something Jeb Bush would do.

Finally, this daily email wouldn't be what it is without a couple geekery books, right?

If you deal at all with databases (and you do if you work with WordPress), learn SQL. You'll thank me later.

While I hate Javascript and all it stands for, I do use it from time to time because I have to. May be wise to wise up on it.

And don't forget - the best book deals are here, every weekday.

I'll ask again: What do you read? How do you "build your brain?"

Try Audible - it's how I "read" most of my books nowadays
