Sorry not sorry for the subject line. Look, it gets old real fast: I hear it all the time.

"I just have to do this ONE THING before I'm ready to begin my super awesome blue widget selling business."

And then...you don't. That ONE THING wasn't quite what you thought it was.

Success in any business, and life in general, BEGINS with taking the first step. And then the next and the next. Put one foot in front of the other and MOVE FORWARD.

That's it. 80 percent of success is SHOWING UP.

Twenty percent is making sure you're going in the direction you want to go, course correcting after minor shifts, and finding your audience and voice. Oh, and part of it is figuring out what you don't want to do.

If you don't have an audience, here's why: People are all around you and you are quiet. SAY SOMETHING.

Anything. Be controversial or just shout "I'm here. How can I help you?"

That's it.

All you need to do now is put up "buy" buttons. I'm not kidding. A business sells stuff. Online, you don't sell jack until you put up a button.
