do not try this at home

Hi
If it's been said once, it's been said a trillion times: "The money is in the list."
You've heard it, no doubt. But what a lot of budding Internet Marketers do is burn through their list. It's a "churn and burn" system. Even seasoned pros do this.
They always have to go out and get TONS of new subscribers to maintain the size of their list...because they're getting lots of unsubscribes. And this is why:
They use horrible subject lines. Subject lines like "Invoice #13947830"
Those types of subject lines are compelling and they get tons of opens...at first. But what makes them really bad is that they're misleading or downright dishonest.
Here's another one: "Payment received"
Of course, you want to open that. "What payment was received?," you might ask.
One more: "You just received $67.98" Oh, really?
Think about what your subscribers think when they open an email with that subject line and find that they didn't receive any money. How would you feel? Disappointed at the very least. A little (or a lot) mad, probably.
When I get emails with these types of subject lines, I'm inclined to immediately unsubscribe and even report the email and marketer as SPAM. I have a near-zero tolerance on deceptive emails and subject lines.
But that's just me.
What prompted this little mini-rant today? I am watching a video that Chris Ramsey and James Foster put together called Happy List Profits. In it, they not only talk about "list no-nos" but a ton of other best practices for list building and list engagement.
It's really great stuff! They're doing a WSO today but it's not live yet.
This link will not work until about 2pm Eastern today, so please wait :)
I just wanted to get this out to you ASAP--I'm literally listening to the video right now and it's awesome. This is stuff I wish I'd had years ago. It would have saved me a ton of time learning this stuff on my own--and I want to pass this onto you so that you learn it now.

Have a great weekend. The family and I are going to brave the cold and go on a bike ride this morning. Wish us luck :)

PS Remember, this won't go live until about 2pm Eastern today. When it does, it's on a dimesale, so if you want to learn some list building best practices, then you'll want to get in on this before the price rises (and it will--this is a hot topic)
